The Waterford Whiskey Society had their tenth tasting for 2023 at THE REVOLUTION BAR in Waterford and via ZOOM on Tuesday the 31st of October at 7:30 pm.
This month we welcome back Bushmills Distillery and their Brand Ambassador Seamus Lowry. This tasting will be a celebration of the Causeway Collection which is a collection of limited edition rare cask-finished Irish single malts from the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery.
Bushmills opened a new £37m distillery this year and it will allow the business to double its distilling capacity to an annual nine million liters of spirit. The new Causeway Distillery is located alongside The Old Bushmills Distillery, which lays claim to a 415-year heritage in the north coast village.
The lineup of whiskies for this event were as follows:
Causeway 2012 Pomerol Cask 54,2% abv
Causeway 2011 Sauternes Cask 56,3% abv
Causeway 2002 Vermouth Cask 48,2% abv
Causeway 1995 Marsala Cask 57,8% abv
2 new unreleased Causeway Whiskey's, were announced on the night.
